Went into OR about 12:15 and in about 1 1/2 hours. Unfortunately, he was unable to get a biopsy of the nodule that is concerning for malignancy. He said he tried every possible way to approach it and was just no way he could get a biopsy without possible hemorrhage, so he had to STOP trying. He did do everything else possible to try and get samples from a flush (saline wash) and collection of mucus, fluid, scraping of various areas of lung to get cells for various testing. So we won't have a nodule sample to determine cancer type or stage for targeted radiation therapy. He did say that he was sure some type of radiation would be started by my oncologist. He has never backed away from it being malignant. He said he would talk with my oncologist and they would decide what's next and be in touch with me. Several scraping/brushing/flushing type samples of lung areas were sent out for testing from everything from TB, Pneumonia, Fungus, Bacteria and Cancer cells. Sure it will take a few days to get lab results back. So really don't know anything new yet. Have a sore throat and glands are swollen in my neck so hope I'm not getting a lung infection. I'm doing well, resting today as instructed and waiting for the next steps. Goooooooooo,Blaney & Larson
Didn't get what we needed but I'm glad he stopped trying to get biopsy because if bled to death on the operating table it wouldn't matter, right....LOL I wouldn't be here telling you about it. God gave me another day, wasn't my time yet.
Thanks for the continued prayers and I remain positive. Love you all and keep those prayers coming for all of us in need.
My "2022" saying is:
