That's possible he's maybe wanting to buy and own the 88 but leave it under HMS like Gordon did with Johnson in the 48. Time will tell for sure. Last Jr and Kelly were asked about Cup they showed no interest right now, maybe in the future.
Larson approved and signed with HMS for the #5 car with Chevy approval for 2021. I'm happy for him. He was railroaded by Baby Bubba and NASCAR for something that's said in so many rap songs and spoken on a regular basis by the very ones who say it offends them.
