Glynda Taylor

To the People of the Nifty Fifties Reunion and any others who know Glynda Taylor. I got the sad message tonight that Glynda definitely has a malignant cancer on her brain. They expect to do surgery on her this Thursday. She remains in Medical Center Hospital as of now. Glynda has been so helpful to all her friends here in McCamey. She is the most giving person I have ever known. She put everyone before herself, actually too much. She and her husband Charles have unselfishly not only raised their own 4 children, but took on her sisters 4 children back in the sixties when her sister passed away and raised them. They are now raising two grandchildren who are in high school, but have had them all their lives. She has also been caring for an elderly father who has altzheimers. Regardless of this she some how found time to work for the Chamber and the city of McCamey painting murals for the celebration in 2000, and throughout the years. She was always there to decorate for the Chamber banquets or anything she was asked to do. If this was not enough anytime her scanner went off for the ambulance or fire department she was right there day or night. She also has been one of the best friends to me that I have ever had. I'm sure she is to others also. Just felt many of the fifties people espically would want to know as she tried to come to all the reunions with husband Charles of class of 59. Please keep she and Charles and family in your prayers. Roylene C. Davis
