I've only just seen this, I'm quite shocked. R.I.P. Postie.

Work is the curse of the drinking classes.

I only learnt of his passing just prior to entering the ground on Saturday. I worked with Dave at the Royal Mail at Exchange St for many years. Can remember going to an away fixture to Hartlepool on a Friday night with him in the 80s & seems only like yesterday. He delivered the post to Edgeley Park for years & years & kept us up to date with the Chinese whispers.

RIP Dave you will be sorely missed.

I worked with Dave at RM from the 80s up to him finishing and would see him at County. Such a cracking lad with a fantastic dry sense of humour.
Going to miss him. Rest well Dave x

RIP Dave, a genuinely nice fella.

The beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad so I had one more for dessert.
