I spoke with three County fans in dan zone and stands, who were the most miserable and pessimistic fans I could have imagined. Before the ball was even played, their thoughts were one of poor uninspiring recruitment and a new dodgy keeper...WTF...having watched the pre-season games, and having watched how recruitment is being done across the league with the other clubs, County have kept their core and added some of the best fresh keen early career talent available, with some seasoned pros.
Who on earth did these County fans think we would sign??? Messi???
Yesterday's performance was a delight, and I hope the the pessimistic fans give their collective heads a wobble and realise that player recruitment is done by professionals who select the talent that we don't get to see and how that balances into a team.
PS - loved it and love the fact that Plymouth fans were pretty much universally of the opinion, that we have set the standard for the league😀😀😀....UTHs!
