It shows Countys intent, I'm sure he would have been more than happy to come to EP. Has our owner run out of interest and is not prepared to put anymore money into the club? To me it looks that way,with recruitment so far this closed
season.

We're not paying £2.5m for him or giving him the wages he'd want because there are new financial rules that prevent us from doing so. Nothing more than that.

Do the new rules, enforced or otherwise, mean that we now offer two year contracts to over 30s instead of just one?

No, I had a problem with Sarcevic NOT being offered a two year deal.

Their's would have been 2 year extensions. Norwood is a 1 year extension, which I suspect we've done to reduce his salary a bit, given the new financial rules.

Reading some comments I would not blame Stott if he did say fk it, I am out of here. Remember the ultimate target? Championship AND a club that is sustainable without Mark Stott's money, or anybody else's millions if lightning were to strike twice and another owner came riding to our rescue putting 50, 60 million and more of their own money into Stockport County.
Realistically how likely is that second lightning strike?

I agree Stott wanted him, but with the signings of lower class players apart from O’Connell everything is being done on the cheap as it seems to me. Apparently Louie accepted £15pw and received payoff compensation from Villa. Not itk but noted from what l heard on social media channels.

We will be going backwards this season unless there are a couple of statement signings. We need a couple of midfielders and another striker and would think Mingi and Diamond plus Camps or Moxon to leave to accommodate any new signings.

Wednesday sold just shy of 24000 season tickets …won’t be far behind county at that rate ..Barry signed for 4 years at a rumoured 15000 a week ….i think Wednesday and Leicester will need there own sand box
