According to the Sheffield Star Louis Barry is about to sign for Wednesday for an initial moderate fee - Simon Wilson their new sporting director has negotiated a deal to give the Villa player the permanent home he is seeking after a series of loans over recent seasons including three highly successful loans at Stockport

Villas web site is suggesting Villa want north of $2m …..and LB wages will not be chump change…Wednesday are on financial watch after last seasons implosion …wages not being paid etc…..so his might not be such a done deal

FA articles suggest Wednesday have a salary limit of 7000 a week and a transfer limit per player….for 2027 season…..not seen anything to say that has been removed but sometimes time dating on line articles is difficult because they are re packaged

News article in The Star dated July 06 regarding this transfer says that Wednesday are working under financial restrictions …..suggesting that fee that was being discussed by Villa and Hull was $3.5 m and any Weds fee would be a lot less
