The wolves are here already!

Posted by North Cyprus Hatter User icon on May 26, 2026, 16:03:19

Four clubs looking at Sidibeh already.

Be interesting in the next few weeks who goes and who comes in? Not sure about DC, lots of speculation about him going.

Sometimes I wake up grumpy, sometimes I leave her in bed.

Yes sadly I think Adama will go. That’s based on Alan Nixons post touting his services across X before I’d managed to put my car in drive at Stanmore on Sunday. He seemingly has a very pro active agent putting his name out there and is riding the crest of a great start with us. Be a shame but if he does go I hope it’s to a massive fee following a bidding war.

The more active his agent the better at this point for us!

Agree he is likely to go and unfortunately he wont be alone - can see Pye Wootton and Diamond moving on - closely followed by DC
Challenging few weeks ahead for Mr Stott

Sidebeh was not happy when he was subbed as he booted a water bottle. I don’t buy this he can’t play for 90 minutes. The subs changed the game. Bolton’s subs wanted it so much more. Our subs were pathetic and most likely pre planned I suspect.

I think we will get plenty of bids. If Mr Stott wants championship football we should keep hold of him, Sidebeh is a gem.

Whilst he did play 90 minutes on a number of occasions for St Johnstone, he was still subbed in around two-thirds of the games he started.

Maybe with a full pre-season he will be able to last the full 90 mins
But on Sunday he looked buggered having run the Bolton defence ragged for 60 mins
Unfortunately Tanto had nothing to offer as his replacement
Let’s not forget how draining the hot weather was

Sidbeh did his part and from what I have seen he does tend to run out of steam in the second half …agree his first 45 was very good and he deserved both goals including the one VAR took away…appauling decision …..what was disappointing was the lack of impact Tanto has had since his return…he has added nothing and at Wembley he would have made a better contribution carrying water bottles
I think everyone would have taken a third place league finish last august …2.trips to Wembley were a bonus …
This team is still 3 or 4 players short of being capable of competing again at top of division….so if Sidbeh does go then yes a decent fee doesn’t hurt
DC will get opportunities if he wants them…cannot think Stott is not happy with track record to date

Aha, sense, he would have been knackered in that heat, his game is about high speed chasing, not suited to that weather

It wasn't exclusively the heat though, as he's been subbed off in every single game he's started, come rain or shine.

I agree, in a perfect world we would have expected Tanto to give us the exact same for the second 45, unfortunately he doesn’t look the same player we had only a year ago

To be fair it was their subs that made the difference, as they have for them all season, rather than any perceived failure on Tanto's part to duplicate Sid or produce his past form.

It can be both; Tanto's been a big disappointment.

Which had the greater impact, Bolton's subs or Tanto's cameo?
Always pointless to make anyone a scapegoat. The match unfolded as it did, it's history now. We can't go back so equally pointless doing anything other than learn from it and move on, if we want to move forward. ✊

Bolton's subs made them better, our subs made us worse. Not for the first time this season.

Tanto came on with 25 to go.

I mean in other games, not just on Sunday, my whole point is that siddi couldn’t possibly keep that up for 90 minutes in that heat, and whether it be after 45 or 60 the expectation would be that Tanto could provide a similar style of play for the remaining period of a game, unfortunately that hasn’t materialised

But that's my point, the heat's irrelevant to him not doing 90 on Sunday because he's not done 90 at all since he joined.

Why not try him for 90 minutes or at least 80 minutes. Tanto, and Mothersille have offered nothing all season why bring them on? Diamond has done nothing since the Mansfield game in December. The substitutions and reverting to a 4-4-2 with massive gaps in midfield cost us the game.

Spot on. Last game of the season, so why not let Sid run himself out as we don’t need to save him for future games. If it had gone to extra time, we would have had Tanto doing nowt on the pitch for as long as Sid was on it. The 60 minutes subs are so predictable as the opposition knows just keep it tight until then as we offer little in the last half hour.

And I'm sure he's probably run around like that, for more than 60 minutes, playing for Gambia,in temperatures hotter than Sunday.

Looking at his last four games for Gambia:

63 minutes, 23 degrees, v Kenya.
19 minutes, 17 degrees, v Burundi.
82 minutes, 24 degrees, v Gabon.
59 minutes, 21 degrees, v Seychelles.

Hope this helps.
