Cogs

Don`t condone it but can understand his sending off. You know his Bolton "mates" were giving him all kinds of shit all day long and had just had enough. And the game was done of course and not affected at all.

It’s a hair pull it’s a red card in the rules nowadays. Fair enough.

But players with long hair should have it tied up in a bun or get their bloody hair cut. It’s too easy to grab hair when it’s down your back. If you say he shouldn’t be trying to grab his shirt you’ve not played the game before.

How do you foul Chewbacca without getting a red?

I agree long hair is an issue- a flailing dreadlock could cause a big problem in contact with someone else's eye or contact lens. Same as silly neck chains.

AIR Alan Shearer said after his England debut v Spain that some of the opposition had filed their fingernails to be extra sharp!
If you want to have fashionable hair it should be under a swimming cap!!

Brisbane, County since 1967.

Re: Cogs

The swimming cap comment proper made chuckle.

I'm still trying to work out how Cissoko managed to stay on his feet.

Re: Cogs

What would the Aussie Rules players make of it all

The AFL players from a few years ago would just laugh.

But play-acting is starting to creep into the Aussie game.

Re: Cogs

Yep Barry Hall knew how to throw a punch! YouTube it .

Seen it many times but it was a sucker punch. The guy was out cold before he hit the ground.

DUH, is still a rule that you can't get sent off?

Or was that decades ago

Still can't get sent off, but the footage is shown to a committee that decide the punishment.

Here's the incident 90's mentioned:
