When one of their players went down after a soft challenge from Hunt(?) a fan in the 2nd row back gave their player a load of shit and was then (unfairly imho) chucked out. After it seems the Udders bench were in dialogue with fans behind where they were sitting. According to FB one of the udders coaching staff gripped a fan by the neck hence cc the mass of stewards then descending. Still the 96th winner probs pissed then off more. Their manager got booed as he walking across to applaud fans and quickly turned back a headed down tunnel. I suspect fan power may lose him his job but that said they were dire for most of the game!
Worth noting that the fan poured water on their player; can't really argue with him getting removed for that, although hopefully it goes no further.
The other County fan missed his step and bumped into the Huddersfield staff sat in the stand; that particular staff member got up and grabbed him by the scruff of the neck, which caused it to boot off.
Thw County fan in question has often sat by the dugouts/tunnel and has looked for trouble before with opposition players/staff, but I genuinely think he missed his step this time and the Huddersfield staff member over-reacted.
They moved the staff pitchside after it calmed down but they were back in their seats within 10 minutes, other than the one who grabbed the fan who remained pitchside.
A lot of County fans were speaking to the stewards who'd taken up a position by the dugout and they were asking for fans to contact the club as witnesses to it.Smart-arse pedant
I think that the Huddersfield staff incident was connected to the water pouring incident as the ejected fan was being escorted away behind the dugouts and was getting a few claps and cheers from County fans which caused everybody in the front few rows to stand up and turn round to see what was going on, and the incident stemmed from there. The Huddersfield staff member (kitman) apparently has a bit of form for being a hot-head.9B Stockport Edgeley, 9F Heaton Mersey
Whilst it immediately followed it and likely heightened the tension, it was a separate incident between a fan returning to their seat and accidentally bumping into the Huddersfield staff.Smart-arse pedant
The County fan involved with the Hudders staff… was he the same chap who had a bit of banter with Richard Brodie back in NLN days to which Brodie beckoned him on to the pitch to ‘have a go’ if he fancied it? The fan got up out of his seat and threatened to climb over the perimetre. You could see a panic look on Brodie’s face as he realised the fan was considerably more meaty than himself.9B Stockport Edgeley, 9F Heaton Mersey
Could have been; I distinctly remember incidents with an opposition manager, one with Mark McGhee and one with Salford's bench after the playoff semi that he's been involved in, but I do genuinely think it was an accident this time. Smart-arse pedant
