It’s embarrassing ain’t it. Looking forward to the day it gets pulled down and we crack on with the grand plans. I’ve had so many fans contact me and ask is this for real? And i thought you had ambitions to get to the championship not non league again. Cheeky buggers

A club with no ambition would likely not spend money on something like this, let them get wet and not bother about increasing capacity for home fans.

Yes very different. Our stand has 14 posts obstructing the view and has a white pvc roof with no sides.

It’s ok to call out this stand for what it is. Nothing wrong with being honest. When the proper stand is built we’ll chuckle about the temp roof and really appreciate the new one.

But they couldn’t stay in there with no roof as it didn’t meet league rules.
If we put them in the pop side they’d need more than 2 blocks to meet the 10% minimum, so doing it this way meets the 10% requirement and gives all of the pop side to home fans.
All of the above helped us in getting a 10k gate yesterday.

We have to provide covered seating for them. This increases the chances of more County fans attending as they now also don’t have a crappy uncovered end to freeze/get soaked in. It’s really quite simple and a perfect compromise until we’re in The Championship and start the rebuild of the RE.

We may as well face facts. It looks shit. Although temporary it will get slated by every team that visits from today until the day it gets taken down. Exactly the same as County supporters have done/will do for every team we play that have less than adequate facilities.

I remember Morcambe away a couple of seasons back, never been so wet
We know it’s temporary and it won’t be full that often so chance to move around for best view, not ideal if it was permanent but ideal for what it is there for

He's not; both games were horrific weather-wise.

Accrington because it was an open terrace and Morecambe because, despite the roof covering the away end, the strong winds were blowing it into the stand anyway.

I know it's covered; I said that in my post.

It wasn't a night game, it was a Saturday 3pm kick-off and can be seen from the highlights, it was raining throughout.

The wind was that strong, the rain was blowing into the stand, so the roof didn't stop us getting wet.

Both games were dreadful weather-wise; I was soaked to the bone after both, roof or not.

He's losing it Nik. I was at Morecambe in the seats and laughing wholeheartedly at our lot in the covered away end, all getting rather wet. Wet and very windy, a bit like dosser

We've been giving the whole of the Railway to away fans all season and the second half of last season.

The two blocks of the Popside are't enough tickets to meet the minimum 10% we have to give to away teams.

Ever since Bolton kicked up a fuss and reported it to the EFL, we've given the Railway End to all teams except those with very small away followings that wouldn't sell out their full allocation anyway.

Looking around the ground today and it’s clear we have three stands that desperately need replacing. What does stick in the throat is that Wrexham will receive a 25 million pound grant as paid by us the UK tax payer as part of the levelling up fund from the Welsh Government. A bit annoying as they now generate the same revenue as a mid table Premier League club due to Disney and the US sponsorship deals. Seriously of all the clubs to receive this it really should not be them.
