Was reading through an old programme earlier today, came across something I don't remember, a referee passed away whilst reffing a County game.... being the font of all things County can you recall the season and the opposition ?

Day after Al Bardsley was drinking in the Railway Woodley with John Griffiths.
A local came in and said to John, "Is that right John, County were that bad yesterday the Ref dropped dead?"
