Such sad news about Chichester City's Billy Vigar dying after an incident with a perimetre wall in his match on Saturday.

So easy could have been MSH a few seasons ago.

Does raise the question as to whether perimetre fences are too close to the touchlines, and whether they need to be 'softer'. Edgeley Park doesn't have much room behind the goals, but personally I think Old Trafford is lethal as the pitch falls away and there is a ditch leading to a potential trip head first into the perimetre wall.

Remember Genie Wilson going into a forward roll against Notts Forest, the momentum sent him crashing into the railway end wall head first. The thud that could be heard was sickening.
But after he got treatment he got up and carried on. He was a tough old chap, all 4'6" of him.
Helped us to a 4-2 win on the night.
