From a hartlepool fan..
Think people should remember...
u lot really are deluded 😂 in the 4 years you’ve had him has manager you’ve had 2 promotions, won the league twice and because of a shaky start to the season youre slagging him off. If you aren’t happy swap places with a Hartlepool fan. We’d gladly watch league 1 football ffsPlanty

It’s a good point but we’ve also spent an astronomical amount of money in comparison to Hartlepool. Chally has been fantastic and he’s got so much right . He's not going to be perfect all the time, nobody is. I don’t have an issue with the subs but I agree it invited pressure on. The defence was superb.

Exactly. He is the best manager we have ever had and has earned the time and space to make mistakes and take risks. I have complete trust in him, but can understand if he gets pissed off with the criticism and short memories.
Hamman and Melia would be my dream team. Hamann’s brilliant ‘zonal marking’ system and Jimmy busting moves in his dancing shoes could have been the perfect combination for success…alas poor Jimmy was dismissed after an awful season in charge of The Hatters (how the optimism ebbed away after a great 1986/87 pre-season before crashing down to Earth at his first game in charge at Swansea. We left the ground distraught with ‘bald wigs’ littering the terraces behind us…well I saw two) Melia wasn’t far off success… if only he had a zonal marking system in place! It all ended when we at least got a draw at Peterborough towards the end of thee season, although 30+ of us didn’t make the match as the coach spluttered to a perminant halt in Newark (where the ridiculous Hampton was shoved into a fetid pond) Having nicked a football from some kids, I remember I scored a world class diving header worthy of a Tommy Sword effort (assisted by Steve Callahan with a superb through ball) I celebrated alone as nobody else gave a toss, but I was happy considering I’d missed the match. The police turned up due to County fans climbing up lampposts and predictably became excited when we told em we were skint and couldn’t get to the station…the miserable coppers felt they had to get rid of us so turned their police vans into impromptu free taxis. …and became even more excited as they were called to the town centre pub for folk being ‘rowdy’….as you’d expect it was us (“you told me you were skint but you’re nursing two pints and by the look of you have entertained a good few more!!”) One particular Constable became even more excited and took offence when it was pointed out to him that he was a dead ringer for Daniel Peacock. Still despite very fed up plod and Hampton stinking to high heaven…we eventually were escorted to the railway station and left celebrating County as a League Division Four club for another season despite Mr. Melia’s attempt to scupper us to bottom spot and none league obscurity (that of course come some years later!) It’s a pity our finest gambler…sorry…manager, Didi Harmann never actually met Melia but fate conspired against County yet again!STILL have ‘(Orson) Cartier Industries (Stockport)’ T-shirts left. 5 sizes…£10 adults…£5 kids. Can’t be arsed posting/delivering so pm me & I’ll meet you in a pub if possible!
He's done a great job of course DC but he can't be above criticism..

True, but DC has banked immense credit. There is nothing you or I could tell him that he doesn't already know or that his record suggests he won't fix over time so let's play our part by offering our support and giving him the time and space to get us purring once more. I would much rather be the trenches with DC than some fanny who panics at the first sight of the enemy.
He isn’t of course, but I tend to look at criticism from people who are better qualified than the person they are criticising, all I see are opinions from a handful of fans, I don’t think they are better qualified
Working on that logic them he is effectively above criticism as in the county family no one is better qualified than DC..It will be a sad day as and DC leaves but in recent times in public he's dug out the fans, in the play off game, who follow us all round the country, half the team at least, Clint hill and the set piece coach..people better qualified than us all really say it's not a great move on a few levels to do that..
Yet no player who leaves has a bad word to say about him and players who he has managed before along with players who have been on loan before come to work under him again.
