World famous in Belgium

I have just returned from a holiday in Belgium.

We had a day out at the Atomium, just next to the Heysel stadium.

The chap collecting our tickets asked where we were from. My mate said, "Manchester", thinking that he wouldn't have heard of Altrincham, where he lives.

"Oh, what football team do you support?"

Me: "Stockport County"

Chap smiles and says, "I like it! They are in Division One aren't they?"

We are famous in Belgium!!

Dosser is right - County are MASSIVE !!

Went to Belgium on a school trip back in the 50s. The World Fair was on and we went up the Atomium. My first time abroad, Happy memories
