Long hard season part 2

Posted by Bungle User icon on September 6, 2025, 17:03:46

Said it last week and I'll say it again, this is going to be a long hard season.
That was pathetic, not a positive in the game.
To many people think we are better than we actually are.
Lots of money spent on this team, yet doesn't look anywhere near good enough for a promotion challenge at the minute
Weak all over the pitch,it's been coming that result and I can't see how's going to get better any time soon.
Cardiff next and they beat Plymouth 4-0 a couple off weeks ago.

Wootton and Lowe doesn’t work up front.

Need to play one of them with someone pacier. Andreasson or give one of the youngsters a go…. Might as well as we are losing ground quick and performances show we won’t improve unless drastic changes are made.

So predictable all over the pitch.
Even looking at the body language of the player's,nobody seems to be playing with a smile, they just look down in the dumps

Seems those from last week have nothing to say this week.

Another game, another goal conceded because our goalkeepers don't control their area.

Not-intelligent-enough, smart-arse pedant

And very poor defending, week in week out.

Some of the players who have left haven’t been sufficiently replaced. Knoyle, Collar and Tanto.

Then there is Madden, Sarcevic and Croasdale from the season before.

It may take a lot longer for the team to gel, but there was a glimmer of hope, just a glimmer in the performances of Osborn and Onyango. Obviously needed a RWB last Monday as well as a Fox in the box type of striker.

My opinion is,we've signed some decent players, but for whatever reason it's not clicking.
Despite being backed heavily by stott,I don't think chally knows his best 11 at the minute, and formation keeping injuries aside.
We've been poor this season, suppose the only positive is Norwood, can take a penalty and free kick.

Lost our outball to Tanto, no pace up front. Replaced our RB/LB with worse than what we had *so far. Missing Collar as well, our press has vanished. I'm sure DC will sort it.

The beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad so I had one more for dessert.

Agree with you to some extent, Bungle.
Everyone on this board is upset as you when we lose. You just have to take a step back at times and think where we were a few years ago.
We have a better team on paper than we had last year, but in practice they are nowhere near as good yet. And ‘yet’ is an important word. Chally knows that he has to deliver or his career is going to go downhill. I think he will turn it round.
I couldn’t go to today’s game (I am in Madrid) but I did listen on County TV. I think we need a settled defence to be successful. At the moment we don’t have Arrtu or Tayo an available to be able to pick a settled side, so how’s about a big of animo and fide from all of us?

Although fouled for the last goal, Connolly has been outstanding at the back and Camps should be back in a week to a fortnight.
