When a football fan on the winning side describes the match as “dull” you can imagine just how crap it was. That’s the verdict of Wigan fan Barry Worthington following the Tuesday night Carabao Cup tie at the Brick. Barry himself is anything but dull by the way. He’s not missed a Wigan home game since November 2001. Unfortunately for Barry, Wigan beat Stoke 6-1 that day while he was at Pinewood Studios filming an episode of The Weakest Link. (Tony Dinning scored the opening goal for Wigan, incidentally.)
Our County correspondent joining us this morning is also anything but dull, a man with a phenomenal collection of over 500 match-worn shirts. Go and have a look at Ben Walker’s website stockportcountyshirts.co.uk after you’ve read his article on Norwood, Fiorini and chocolate ice cream.
