On May 1 ,1937 County beat Lincoln City 2-0 to win the Division 3 (North)Championship in front of a crowd of 26135 at Edgeley Park.

Thanks to the generosity of a County supporter who wishes to remain anonymous, Help the Hatters have obtained an original match day programme from that massive game and are offering it as a raffle prize in support of the Fingerpost Flyer.

Here`s a wee snippet from that marvellous occasion …..

My grandad went to that game with his dad..not a lot of money about In those days so every season they’d club together and would buy a single season ticket and one of them would go to the first team games and the other to reserve matches (apparently they could be more entertaining back in the day) obviously they’d stump up the extra ticket money for games such as these.
He’d no doubt give Dosser a wave as the young mr. Jacket was perched precariously atop the old (twice the size) Pop side.

STILL have ‘(Orson) Cartier Industries (Stockport)’ T-shirts left.
5 sizes…£10 adults…£5 kids.
