We both know I have questioned your demand for answers previously. But this time you are bang on. How the club think announcing squad numbers and missing an important player from the list is not going to get questions is beyond me...can someone explain?

My father was a County fan like my grandfather before :-)

He’s been paid off I suspect. Good player but useless to us when he’s constantly injured. Maybe Wrexham will take him on he was playing golf with the owner not so long ago.

He's not moving up a division, if he even leaves, which I'm not convinced of either.

I don't think he'll play but he'd be well within his rights to sit out his final contract year, pick up what's owed to him, and then move on/retire. We may not be offering him the full amount as a pay off.

It wouldn't sit well with fans, but the club agreed to the deal and if you're him, you want every penny of it. If his desire to play football isn't there then he may not want to move clubs and may instead see out the last year.

Sadly , I suspect Nik is right. We as fans may not like it but in our working lives we have all known of people who take a wage without appearing to do much to earn it. At least it is a limited time contract. I guess the club could make it more difficult by making him train/travel with the juniors but even that could backfire due to the impact it could have on the kids. If he has played his last game in a County shirt then I am sad as he was a mercurial talent.

What if he wants to play for County but the club don’t want him to play? Not sure it would be reasonable to have him training with the kids if he’s fit, making himself available, abiding by the terms of his contract etc which he is of course entitled too.

Yeah, exactly. When I say his desire may not be there, I'm not questioning his professionalism but perhaps his desire to find a new club if the club make it clear he's not in our plans. He's not done anything whilst here that gives the impression he's anything other than the utmost professional.
