Back in the good old days we had a County indoor cricket team at the centre on Green Lane made up of players like Brian Butler - Bill Williams - Nigel Hart - Andy Kilner - Andy Thorpe and Steve Bullock - to name a few -the team was boosted by severial supporters whose names escape me except for Stuart White
Son of director Graham - we were a fantastic team - great memories

Michael Atherton talked up Andy Kilner on sky sports cricket once saying he was lightning fast as a youngster

My cousin played for a short while at Worsley while Kilner was there

Indoor cricket needed good all around skills as everyone batted for 4 overs and bowled for 4
Of course some players had strengths
Andy Kilner was the best all rounder
Nigel Hart was a great fast.bowler
Brian Butler had amazing fielding reflexes
But Stuart White was an astonishing cricketer with leg spin bowling which was unplayable -
All others were good enthusiastic cricketers
It was great fun to play with and get to know them away from EP

Played against Andy Kilner a few times in the Manchester Association. Think he was playing for Worsley with his lad. A bit lazy in the field and when his side was batting he sat around reading The Racing Post.
