* Ball is called a "Sliotar" pronounced - slittar ( slither of leather) * Stick is called A Hurley * 15-a-side * Over the bar = 1 point ( white flag raised) * Goal = 3 points ( green flag raised * Player cannot run more than 4 steps with ball in hand, must do something with it, either wallop it upfield or run with ball balanced on stick * Cannot throw the ball - the ball can be hand passed - seen to be projected by the hand * Cannot pick the ball off the ground or touch it on the ground, it must be scooped up by the stick * If a player loses a stick while in possession of the ball he must get rid of the ball, either by hand pass or kick it * An "All Star" is a player selected for the team of the year
