Well I left as I did when we got to penalties against Carlisle, I am no good at it, it’s too much for me and strangely worse as I get older, County still means as much as it always has but it is hard to watch for me at such moments, I was in the garden when Horsfield headed us into the lead in the 1st leg.
I have watched and listened to DC over his time here, just in general really, but he disappointed me after the cup tie against Bolton when he was quick to condemn the fans for going on the pitch following a great win after some tough times and again after the Orient game.
Everyone has their own opinions and mine is that he doesn’t really like us that much, which is fine he doesn’t have to. I have never heard him praise the fans without being prompted by one of JK’s endless comments about the 12th man or the blue and white army etc and even then DC is anything but fulsome in his response. Simon Wilson’s hasty response says it all really, the only people in the ground who had paid to be there were the fans and they can choose the manner of their support.
There isn’t any real warmth there but no problem it’s a business all said and done and emotions are high after a tough defeat - but for me he got out thought by Wellen, it was not difficult for Orient to say we need to stop Fevrier and we need to get down their left, they did a good job but it wasn’t difficult and we had enough chances to win the game, but perhaps we could have been less predictable in our lineup.
It is a little bit like after the Peterborough playoff defeat - I don’t think we are quite ready for the next step as we weren’t then.
Re: "He kept his cool in front of a 'Seething' Cheadle End
Some good points there Scb. He was never really into us when he played for us.I think his heart was with Tranmere. As for the Bolton game, when fans went on after Cranky had scored, his one word description of the fans was captured on tv.
