I captured a nice photo of Ollie Norwood’s winner at the Cheadle End yesterday (along with some other snaps) which has kept our faint hopes of automatic promotion alive going into the penultimate weekend of the season. We’ll probably miss out on the top two, but it’s been a fantastic season for Dave Challinor’s men. Our first season back in League One and we’ve secured a play-off spot with two games to spare, ahead of former Premier League clubs such as Bolton, Huddersfield and Blackpool.
For today’s edition, I’ve also had a chat with comedian Dan McKee, a semi-finalist at the BBC New Comedy Awards. Dan’s on the line-up for my second Desmond’s Comedy Club night at The Fingerpost this Friday. The launch night in March was fantastic, with loads of County fans in the audience.
