It would be higher if Bolton had given us the full stand

Would be higher if our club asked for the full quota, and putting them on sale straight away.
What's the point of putting extra on sale two days before the game like Orient and Reading.

Why do they not ask for full quota Doss? Is it a financial thing? Planty

There's definitely been a change in approach when it comes to away tickets since Tom Mahon left and Gavin Bailey came in to replace him as COO. Smart-arse pedant

How does the away ticketing work?
Is there a basic allocation that we get from all clubs no matter what (e.g. equivalent to one or two away blocks in the Pop Side), and then if we want any more we effectively have to 'buy' them off the home club and we bear the loss if any are left unsold?9B Stockport Edgeley, 9F Heaton Mersey

I was always under the impression that that was how it worked, but it seems like it's untrue.
The EFL regulations state:
"3.3.1 unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing, all tickets shall be on sale or return basis;
3.3.2 payments for tickets sold by a visiting Club together with details of tickets sold and the return of unsold tickets, must be made to the Home Club within four days of the date of the match"
There's clearly some negotiation from the club in terms of what they anticipate actually needing and that probably plays into the restricted allocations we've seen recently, even for fixtures where we're entitled to a larger number (the minimum entitlement is 10% of the ground capacity or 2000, whichever lower).
Given there's seemingly no cost to the club, it's bizarre that we aren't just taking the full allocation we're entitled to for all games and then just returning the unsold tickets, rather than drip-feeding them.Smart-arse pedant

Spot on with your last paragraph.
Wednesday was poor too. A ladcame in his dinner hour, didn't get anywhere near to the front,so had to go back to work.
They seemed to be writing down a serial number off the ticket with your name next to it. I was 14th in the queue when I got there. It took 35 mins to get my ticket.
After about ten mins they opened a third window. Fifteen mins later it closed

Maybe the co-op can take this forward to the club. Some simple changes at County would make a huge difference to the fan experience.
