We've got Wootton, Olaofe, Cosgrove and Andresson and we regularly play with one striker.

Compared with the quality we have elsewhere in the squad, to me we lack a clinical finisher.

That's Tanto though, and possibly Andresson too.

Tanto scored 20 league goals last year, more than any other player at the club. The job now is how to best unlock that clinical finishing ability that he has.

Andresson sounds like he's that type of finisher too, so his development is one to keep a close eye on.

Tanto has not got last seasons form yet,
Andresson is untested at this level.
We are wasteful in front of goal.
Could have been out of sight at Leyton Orient before half time.

I don't disagree with you there; I'm not one for xG but we've got the second-highest xG in the league and have the highest shots-on-target-per-game, which shows we're creating meaningful chances but we aren't putting them away as efficiently as we should be.

Hopefully Tanto will get a prolonged run in the team now and find that form.

We haven’t replaced Paddy Madden, who you knew could covert a chance even in the last 30 seconds. We have a good complement of strikers now but needed a fox in the box type goalscorer. Hope we find one in the summer. Still waiting to see what Andrésson can produce, hopefully he will be the goalscorer we want as it shows in his record so far and DC will have seen him in training so maybe it’s why we didn’t invest in one yesterday. Surprised Stretts was allowed to leave but obviously not in DC future plans.

Really ? Can think of many a Div1 club that would like Wooton,Cosgrove,Tanto,Fevrier and Diamond as a strike force to select from. Especially when we don't just rely on a "strike force" for goals.With 16 different first team goalscorers so far.

Kevin, Cosgrove hasn’t played for us so far and Fevs and Diamond haven’t cut the mustard yet! So only two proven strikers in Wootton and Tanto, hopefully Andrésson will provide the missing link but DC keeps saying he isn’t ready yet.

The talk on Beno has changed from one for the future to we need to get him fit. I think Chally and co have been pleasantly surprised by Beno.

Chally must be keen on Beno, to let Stretts leave. Gutted about Jack leaving, but even as a young age, Chally must have thought his time to make it was limited, especially if we make it to the Championship, so it may prove to be the right decision for all, for him to leave.

On a serious note, Chally needs to intervene and insist he wears proper shinners. A couple of beer mats in rolled down socks will never do

1976, October some form of Hampshire cup tie, playing for an Andover side v Vernham Dean at a place called Hurstbourne Tarrant.

Went on as a sub. First time ever I didn't wear shinguards.

2 footed over the top tackle shattered my right tibia.

4.5 months in plaster. Still feel pain nearly 50 years later.
