Had the pleasure to have met him once at his home after he had retired, lovely ordinary guy with no airs and graces

Met him when he came in Orbro where I worked. Had a laugh with him when I said to him, "Denis,you never quite made it as a footballer....you never played for County!"

Talked to him at the Emtyad years later at Bert Listers wake. As recky said, a nice ordinary chap.

3 months short of 51 years since I last saw Denis.

At O.T with a bunch of County fans seeing him score a famous back-heeler!

The first time I saw serious assault of players on the pitch.

RIP

County since 1967, Brisbane.
