Seems like a lovely lad Tanto. I hope (and am sure) the club will look after him Xmas Day. They players only have one day off and his family is far away so he is unlikely to see them.

He was superb last night. Tanto’s best game so far this season. He needs a run of games. He’s still a bit of a rough diamond for me and a player Jimbo would have loved to develop. He’s got so many good attributes. His pace is frightening and last night he was closing down the defenders really well. Hopefully that goal will give him a big boost.

I'd also like to see him given a run of games. The pace he injected when he came on was what we had been lacking.

After a great start (first twenty five mins), for me there were a few strugglers last night including Hinchliffe (mistakes and kicking), Touray (caught out for their goal again), Wootton (wrestling) and Barry (shooting). Perhaps the pressure of possibly moving on is getting to the lad, he certainly didn't have his shooting boots on

A draw or better at an in form Huddersfield on Boxing Day would be very nice.....

That wasn't the normal Ben on friday night. It looks like he is trying to become a bit of an Addai at times.

If I was DC I'd fine him every time he comes out of his box when it isn't required, and fine him every time he hoofs the ball into touch.

I did like it when Ben came off his line to collect a ball from one of their crosses late on in the game.

Barry setup 2. It would be wise for him to stay with us to polish up on his game.

Ben had an absolute nightmare. He must have been on the Christmas sherry . I wouldn’t be surprised if Addai starts on Boxing Day.

Ben is still our best keeper. It just surprises me why we persist with playing out from the back knowing that both keepers make mistakes with their feet.
Peterborough played out from the keeper every time in shambolic fashion .I only saw one occasion they managed to keeep possession to the half way line.
They have conceded the most goals in the league.

It baffles me this playing out from the back. It’s often ten passes to get to the half way line. Peterborough are easy to play against just press them high up.

That's the purpose of playing out from the back though, you draw the opposition in and play through it and exploit the space they've left when pressing.

It's a highly-effective tactic when done correctly, but equally high-risk when done badly.

I'm with you Yeti. Clear your lines whenever you get the opportunity.

Play out from the back occasionally when the opportunity arises, other than that keep it simple.

It was quite funny watching Peterborough making such a cock up of it and persisting with the tactic.

As I saw it, Peterborough lost possession in their half nearly all game by playing it out from the keeper.
Stats show they had 18 goal kicks, all played out and almost all leading to us gaining the ball in their half.
Their method granted us territory.
We have been very lucky this season not to have conceded more by faffing about at the back with both keepers making mistakes.

Newcastle have just scored from the most stupidest of errors by Ipswich trying to play it out from the back .

That’s the best one to cover defence be it needed and attacking the opponents goalkeepers peppering him with shots…
