Just a thought amongst all the uncontrolled paper talk that is continually circulating. The three outcomes that I belive are most likely; 1) Louis stays put. His only loan move that has worked is the one to County. A loan move elsewhere does not mean game time and could also see a demise in form. He only just signed a new contract with Villa, why would they sell? 2) County buy him with a buy back clause. This is a new way to do buisness in transfers. effectively a pseudo loan. Mark Stott is a buisnessman and paying 4 Million for an asset that will be worth 8 Million in 2 years is simple buisness. 3) He goes back to Villa to augment the squad. Although less likely. If you were a Villa owner would you sell him to Leicester? I doubt it. But if Louis is rated, why sell him to a.bigger club where a buy back clause would be unlikely to feature
Just my thoughts. I think/hope he will stay put but January will be a distabilising month for him will media talk.
I can't see any of those happening, although the first is the most likely outcome of any of them.
Villa won't sell him in January, I'm 100% sure of that. They certainly won't be selling him to us or anyone else for £4m, given that Jay Stansfield has just cost Birmingham £15m. That's before you got onto there being no chance we're spending £4m on anyone at this stage.
He also won't go back to Villa, as he's not going to get straight into their team, so that then puts him on the bench and not playing and/or back into the U21 league, which would be a step backwards.
Sadly, I think it's done and dusted that he'll be recalled and go back out on loan into the Championship, it just might not be decided on which club. DC's comments on the situation were a giveaway to me; he specifically said that we've got Louie until at least Mansfield; given it's a season-long loan, there'd be no reason to have had that agreement with Villa if conversations hadn't already been had about Barry's future.
I think that even before the Mansfield game it might be announced that he's being recalled following that game and it'll be his last for us and that way, he can have the send-off he deserves at the Mansfield game and move onto his new club ahead of the FA Cup 3rd Round weekend that he's avoided being cup-tied for. Aye. It would be a massive rabbit out of the hat if we managed to keep Louie let alone sign him. Can’t see it. Makes sense for Villa to try him in Championship if they can. He isn’t getting any younger and needs to progress.
He is 21 and has 4 loans before coming to us. If he is going to make it at Villa, you’d imagine next season and possibly the one after will be the ones for him. Otherwise, he will be moved on. No time to waste really.
Make the most of it while we can.

The young lad at Manchester United that we have been linked with might well be his replacement. He was described to me by a Manchester United supporter the other day as a faster and more agile version of Kyle Wootton.
As for Louie Barry, I think if he (or villa) call time on his loan with us it'll be a bad move for him. This is a chance for him to have the best season of his career to date. See it out with us, and maybe move on next season.

Faster and more agile puts him among dozens of possible targets County since 1967, Brisbane.
