Louie Barry

Just read on BBC Sport website that Aston Villa are considering recalling Louie, with a view to sending him out on loan to a club in The Championship. Let's hope its only paper talk.

Just seen this morning that Leeds United are also looking at him, with a view to a loan move.

If LB does go in January as a replacement I'd go for Markanday on loan at Chesterfield from Blackburn Rovers till January.

In the sliding scale of forwards who can play in any team and do well to those who need a particular style to do well I think LB is in firmly in the latter. Let him go to Derby, hopefully fail, and then he might become affordable to us. Life is so easy when I explain it. Why does nobody listen? Next problem please.

I don't think he is ready for the step up just yet. He can either stay with us, develop his skills, get fitter and improve his confidence or alternatively go elsewhere and possibly fail or just bench warm.

If he does go in January then I would wish him all the very best of luck, but for me staying put and getting a full season under his belt with 25 goals with us this season is what would improve his CV for the future.

Louie Barry will stay until the end of the season unless Villa receive a ridiculous bid for him. He loves it here and is improving rapidly with us. There’s no point in him going out on loan again.

Total agree. Moving elsewhere could totally foul up his form. Has happened before with other players. Before you ask Nik, l am not going to name them!!

See I think there's no chance of them selling him in January and are more likely to loan him out if they do recall him.

They'll want to get him back into the club in the summer and weigh up his position at the club. They want him to progress to the first team and will give him every opportunity to do so before cutting bait.

Derby would be a poor move for him. The football they play is dire.

Relegation with Derby or promotion with Stockport? It’s not a tough decision. He would reject the move.

I agree 90s, Barry is loving being with us, makes sense to leave him where he is really enjoying his football.
