New pitch side advertising

Does anyone else find it hard to focus on the play at the Railway end - while sitting in the Upper CE - since the new moving advertising signage were recently installed
Last night I missed the first two county goals and I found it impossible to focus on the corner kicks
Seems that my only option might be to ask if we can move our seats to another part of the ground

If it is a nuisance or a distraction it should be toned down. Nobody should have to take notice of advertising. It's dreadful enough on the telly.

You are not on your own. I missed the first goal , blinded by the brightness. I couldn’t pick out players at the Railway End. I don’t believe my eyes have deteriorated that badly since Saturday. The scoreboard and the advertisement boards need turning down by about 30%. Get a dimmer switch on it .

When the RE is complete I do think the contrast of the pitch against a big stand with a roof will help those sat in the CE. Plus the scoreboard will be moved. It’s a bit too dazzling for the night games.

They are too bright, especially for night games.
The players in the distance look like shadows and it’s hard to differentiate between each side.

Last home game no adverts ,no problem,last night never saw the first goal white ball ,white background, something needs to change,it's a complete distraction

Last season at Gillingham one of their stewards had an epileptic fit caused by their advertising boards. We were told by the head steward that the setting from daylight to nighttime illumination hadn’t been switched.
The steward was sent home (his mum picked him up as he wasn’t allowed to drive himself) and as far as I know the switch was thrown and the boards dimmed.

I don't think you'll be able get advertising hoardings dimmed while there are still people out there that think flares and smoke bombs are ok.

Admiring flares and smoke bombs at football is a gateway activity for future morris dancing voyeurs. Having said that the haze would be welcome at night matches to mute the eye-searing effect of the advertising boards.

The brightness definitely makes the game harder to watch, especially the night games.

If they were static it would be less bad, but the way the graphics move and flash makes the situation even worse.

No, I asked a specific question about epilepsy and deeds responded directly to it mentioning autism, to which I pointed out that it wasn't relevant to my question about epilepsy.

As I say, you don't need to be an 'expert' to know they're not the same thing.

They're not needed. We were fine with the old advertising boards which often promoted local businesses rather than the likes of Sky Bet, Vitality, etc who would be absolutely fine without us.

I know people who had headaches and migraines after the game.

The ground was also visible from nearby planets. Won’t do any harm to dim them.

I had a headache in the morning which had nothing to do with Rollo buying a round of Jagers after the game*much, ridiculously bright was struggling to make out what was going on at times at the Railway End although I get the same issue with modern car headlights.

The beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad so I had one more for dessert.

I didn’t relate the two things on Tuesday after the game - my grandson was our nominated driver and he complained of a bad headache all the back to Rochdale

Just received a response from the club - they are going to make efforts to reduce the brightness of the advertising on night games
Let’s hope this resolves the problem
