Possible the worst decision ever

The decision by todays referee to award a free kick to the home team in the final seconds would ordinarily be annoying but we have grown to accept to such decisions - but today the award was not made by the referee who was a few yards away but by the fourth official standing on the half way line
Staggeringly this referee effectively overruled himself
Thankfully it had no effect on the result

Could argue that the 4th officials need to award more decisions - in their power to do that and not just there to take abuse from the coaching staff, deal with subs and showing added time.
