At my altitude training camp here in sunny Spain, a Luton supporter spotted my County shirt. Without prompting he said it looks like we’ll be playing you in the Championship next season along with Wrexham. He thinks Birmingham might well bottle it

I thanked him and bought him and his wife a drink, which was very generous my part given that we’re all on all inclusive

As I said to him, it’s the thought that counts

Majorca. Not been here for years apart from sailing in and out of Palma on ships.

It’s pretty decent to be fair. That said, I’ve not found any signs advertising the game at EP so I might have to settle for livescores.

Fingers crossed we play well and get three points.

Just taken delivery of my second pint in the beach bar so it might be a long day
