Ah that's sad. I saw him play in an FA Cup game for Villa at Bristol City. Villa won 1-0, can't remember who scored.

Actually just looked it up, it was Shaw that scored the winner. Assist by Gordon Cowans. 23.1.82 so I was 9.

He was a very good player. If he hadn't had stiff competition, he would have been in the England team.
