as in the first batch of Blackpool tickets. I was 20 in the queue. Four were sold it then crashed. There were hoardes of 'on liners' who turned up to join the queue.

It surprises me that companies don't understand or appreciate that millions of people don't have smart phone and are happy to survive with their trusty old Nokia 5110's

We went to Blackpool last weekend and the number of people shaking their heads at parking machines as they were unable to pay cash into them

You need to watch out scanning car park barcodes, some are fake, grabs your card details and rinses you. Go to the proper website if you must pay that way or have no choice.

The beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad so I had one more for dessert.

92% of UK adults use a smartphone and that number will continue to rise as time passes.

Companies would be daft to not react to a trend like that.

Presumably thats 92% of Mobile Users ?Bet there's still a fair few people who don't even have a mobile. Especially amongst the elderly.

It is, yes.

The percentage of adult mobile users is 98%, so it's 92% of 98%, so you're talking about ~90.16% of the entire UK adult population and the trend is only going upwards.

If you apply those same percentages more locally, you can draw some conclusions.

We have ~6500 season ticket holders.

About 79.2% of the UK population are adults (18+), so if you account for the same numbers for our season ticket holders, you can estimate that we have ~5148 adult season ticket holders.

Of that, you can estimate that ~5045 are mobile users.

Of that, you can estimate that ~4641 have a smartphone.

That leaves you with ~507 adult season ticket holders without a smartphone, to which there are other options available for purchasing and using match tickets.

There is 2% which is ~103, who the club also accommodate for with a landline nunber and in-person ticket sales, as well as physical ticket options for all fixtures.

I'd say they're fairly well catered for.

I am sure I selected a physical ticket but got a confirmation email of a e-ticket. Difficult to prove and most people will think no he didn’t. Other folk have said the same. I suspect there was a glitch in the system.

At some point in the process, the selection made defaulted back to e-ticket.

I read other people's posts on the same issue before I renewed and noticed it default back to e-ticket so was able to correct it before purchasing.

As others have said, the way the club are treating this as a user error is a bit silly.

Good to know Nik. The club should allow people to get a printed version should they still want one.

There'll be a pdf attachment included with people's season ticket email order confirmation that people can print off and use if needs be, although I really do think the club should take the hit on this one and make it right for those affected.

They initially had an expiry date of 10 August 2024.

If you remove the expired pass and re-add them then you should be fine, as the expiry date has been changed to May 2025.

The emails came out on 7th May
If you go into your deleted emails you will probably find it in there.

It also has the scan code on for emergencies such as this
