Also, I thought Clint Hill was the Assistant Manager but he's down as a coach and we've two assistant coaches. I've not heard of that role before

No way Stratton can replace Paddy. Relatively inexperienced with only a handful of goals to his name.
Hopefully he has a good career ahead but at the moment not a like for like replacement for Paddy IMO.

Barry can and has played as a striker for us last season.

Assuming Mellon's injury isn't too bad, that's Barry, Wootton, Mellon, Stretton and Olaofe to choose from.

So we start the season with only two strikers available unless we sign another.
In pre season games we have been virtually without any threat up front, and created very little.

If Mellon's out for the season as now rumoured, you'd imagine we'll be looking to replace him.

Likewise if Stretton's new injury turns out to be a bad one.
