Manchester Airport - Well done the BBC

It is nice to see the BBC leading their news with extended video footage of the Manchester Airport incident which adds some of the missing context. Andy Burnham did caution people not to make judgements as there was more to come. This detailed breakdown of the video by a professional explains why the kicks to the head occurred. In short the Police officer who delivered the kicks probably had not processed that the man on the ground had been tasered because two seconds earlier the man had been on top of him and the man's hand had been very close to his exposed holster. The Police officer's focus was the guy's right hand.

That sounds as if you are condoning what he did. The police had tasers and batons. Surely that is sufficient force?

Without doubt
I look at it and think how would I react, I’m a peaceful person in general but if id just encountered that attack i reckon my response might have been similar, we all have a limit.

So if in an hostage situation a copper had dispensed of his taser and then the hostage taker had gone to stab someone you wouldn’t want him to kick out at the attacker in an attempt to disarm him ?
There’ll be plenty of situations where a kick could be warranted.
PS
In a close up fight you wouldn’t always even be able to draw a taser from its holster.

The not so innocent attackers were completely out of control.

I hope the PM puts out an apology now that the more conclusive evidence is out, before announcing that he is going to deporting the lot of those arrested.

Even if they weren't British citizens (which there's nothing to say they aren't), they'd serve their sentence here before we'd deport them anyway.

They'd have to be charged with a crime in that other country to be extradited, assuming that country has an extradition treaty with the UK.

Deported isn't necessarily correct either, as that requires a signed Deportation Order from a Judge.

They could be administratively removed, which is what most reported 'deportations' actually are.

Any sensible person using common sense can see what happened and understand the reaction that was only ever shown in the earlier clip.

From what I see and hear the BBC's warped definition of neutrality is, for the most part, to be equally clickbaity and provocative to all sides of an issue unless it is one of the sacred cows such as Trump in which case the agenda set. It might have seemed like a good idea whilst the adrenalin was still pumping but not so much in the cold light of day. I think they may also be regretting hiring the self-publicist lawyer now too. He didn't take long to go off script and make it about himself. George Galloway tried to score points and he ought to be regretting piling in too early because he has made himself look like someone who exploits people for his own benefit. I wonder if the BLM are regretting stopping trams for no reason the other day. I am not so sure their rent-a-Jacinta friends regret anything ever.
