In the recent post match interviews DC has often talked about opportunities for the club . Well the Walsall FA Cup tie was an opportunity and thats gone , the Bradford City game was another and thats gone and today the Wimbledon match has also gone . Are they really Opportunities though ? I think we as fans are expecting a bit too much , we have only just got promotion after many years in the obvilion of non league and to just hold our own in league two is a success in some ways . I guess what is frustrating is apart from Leyton Orient and perhaps Barrow all the league two teams I have seen are very ordinary and fairly dour and drab ! League Two is a bit unpredictable , I didnt expect Crawley to beat Salford , Leyton Orient on a slump , Gillingham big revival , Rochdale in trouble and so on . Crewe away , an opportunity , yes two or three wins and we could be in the mix , DC has got to get the strongest team selection right , a lot of changes needed . Big match for Crewe , a loss for them and they could slip into the mire , teams at the bottom of league all getting points . Prediction , tricky , I would say 2 - 2 .
We were on a crest of a wave until the games v Rochdale & Gillingham were postponed since then weve lost our way. DC seems to have gone back to September and October team selections leaving most fans puzzled and today was no exception.
Re: As DC would say Another missed opportunity
Cant fault your thinking there. Maybe the influx of players at the star and end middle of the season is the common factor. Maybe not. But it defo feels like the start of the season again.Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Mark Twain

Call me cynical but I feel they set out to do a Sergio Ramos on the likes of Will and Croasy. It has happened in other games and we don't seem to be able to stand up to it. Rydel started pulling out of 50/50s which is a major weakness. The pigeons in my back yard could have struck the penalty better than Hippo and like others I expected him to fluff it. Dave talked about one incoming. If not a LCB then a big sod to take the pressure off Wootton. I went to bed straight after the game - 3:20 am and could not sleep for thinking what a crap game it was.
