Without stating the obvious, it was poor goalkeeping for their early gift. Not sure that trying to punch a ball out in the six yard box from your midriff when catching would have been a simpler option.

The ref must have been blind to ignore the clear penalty that we should have been awarded. If he sees that on replay he'd be embarrassed.

Charlton had some good players, they were though beaten by a better team on the night.

Oh and one last thing, at 2-1 and with a penalty awarded, who made the call to switch the normal designated Paddy Madden to Will Collar, so that he could get his hat-trick? Could have gone pear shaped that one.....

Let's make sure we get through the next round safely and get a big money tie as a reward.

Without stealing Bungle's thunder on the own goal, it does seem a very odd choice to make by Ben on the cross. What did the commentators / pundits on the telly say about it?

The commentators were critical of him for pushing the ball back out into the danger zone and quite rightly said that he should be doing better.

You wrote '67000 grand'; he was pointing out that that would be £67 million. It should be either '67000' or '67 grand'.

Will Collar is back to his best - we can expect some big offers from the Championship for him next month - fortunately we don’t need the cash so let’s hope he is happy here

Last night was cold, but I was expecting it so wrapped up.

The coldest game I can remember was when we played Carlisle away in the Autoglass/Windscreens/SherpaVan/PapaJohn cup thing. It was a season where there was a golden goal extra time. Think Palmer was manager. 0-0 and bitterly cold at full time and during extra time everyone was hoping somebody would score quick, no matter who. It was so cold that folk just wanted to get off home. Carlisle scored about 5 mins from the end of extra time and everyone was thankful. Just about the only time I've not been too bothered that we lost.
