Brilliant win on a shocking wicket. I didn't know we'd only won two tests in Pakistan before today which makes it extra special. i was convinced the light would run out before we got that wicket.

My father was a County fan like my grandfather before :-)

That is how red ball cricket should be played. Positively and not both teams worried about losing and it ending up as a bore draw.
I’ll remember that game a lot longer than any of The Hundred franchise muck.

The win showed why test matches should stay at five days and not change to four days which some are pressing for.
I think all the most memorable test matches have gone to the wire over five days.

Fully agree. Even Jimmy got emotional. You can’t beat this form of the game. Stokes and the coach have really transformed a limp team with a losing mentality into a front foot, confident winning team.

The transformation is as stark as when Chally took over from Rusky.
