I doubt whether anything will be done until after the play-offs. Plus the fact that DC will be having a holiday.

Alex Smithies released at Cardiff would be a great challenger for Hinchliffe. Can see three goalies in the squad next season so I hope we sign LAH.

One c in Hinchliffe, but two dependable hands.

I hope we sign a couple of strong reliable centre half's and a couple of decent strikers too. Hogan Reid and Jennings may depart.

Sarcevic, Croasdale and Collar are the three bankers for midfield again next season.

On the shopping list for me is a top notch rapid striker and a commanding centre back.

A quality striker (or two) and a commanding centre back are definitely the priority.

A keeper that can challenge Hinchliffe is needed - no one has come close for years, but Ben must be retained.

Don't really think we need many more players? Probably a new left back.

ZAF could be a good signing.

Isn’t there a maximum number of players allowed in a squad in EFL2

Not sure, but under financial fair play, I think we are limited to spending 55% of our turnover on salaries.

This is interesting. If true, MS can inject equity into the club and it will count as turnover.
However the Football League use a is broader definition of Turnover. Crucially, the FL Turnover figure includes donations from the owners to the club and injections of equity. Loans from club owners are understandably not included in the Turnover figure as these would result in growing club debts. up club debts. In League 1 and League 2, a wealthy owner can therefore fund the club spending in a way that is not permitted in other divisions.

Looks like spending caps have been kept very open and flexible in leagues 1 and 2. Commercial sponsorship and equity conversion is fine, just as long as loans aren't used.

I think we will have a sizeable budget next season.

I'd expect season ticket & gate money to bring in circa £1.4m, we would get Football League funding worth worth at least £1.2m, C&B / hospitality must generate at least 500k to turnover (it was worth £1m at it's peak around 2003 and I see no reason why it cannot return to those levels). No idea what VITA's sponsorship is worth.

Wasn’t our turnover £2.1 million in the season with no spectators because of covid.

Reid and Duffus were both there at the parade on Monday, so I wouldn't look too much into any absence on Sunday.

I think Duffus will go back to Morecambe anyway though.

Yeah, done his ACL I believe. It was heavily strapped and braced on Sunday so he'll definitely go back.

My point was more that him and Reid being absent from Sunday (assuming Reid was absent, I can't remember) doesn't mean anything about their futures, as they were there on Sunday.

I would think it has been confirmed to the players, like a signing we are the last part of the club to know.

I would think the majority of those out on loan will be released. Barclay was recalled from Yeovil as back up for Sunday as a precaution and as Yeovil won at Alty it didn’t matter. Barclay is on a deal until July 2024, so may remain.
