People calling our owner and slagging him off and saying that's it I'm done I'm not watching Saturday's game well good #### off and watch some one else. Calling our owner without knowing the facts sums lots on here. We've had lots of managers come here in recent years under shocking ownership and not given a chance and slated when not really being their fault. Until we know the facts who do you support Stockport County or Jim Gannon

This is my twopennyworth. Slagging off the owner, etc without being given the "facts" is less pathetic than claiming without the facts that the owner, etc is right as if this manager has never done owt for the club. Every time Jim has taken the manager's reins he has improved this club's fortunes. Every time he has been let go the club has gone rapidly downhill. Those are facts. And for the history revisionists, Danny was illegally and immorally sacked by Uncle Brendan's lying ego, and Uncle Brendan also ultimately left us without a pot to piss in. (Who is to say that our current owner isn't "investing" on the same basis.) Dave Jones then had the benefit of the team Danny built and couldn't wait to leave us and fk off to the greedy league, with his pick of our players. IMHO, we have had two managers who made us a better club/team and with limited resources to do it with. They are Danny and Jim. The decision to sack Jim Gannon is a misguided mistake, to be charitable. What we do not know right now is if it was as treacherous as the sacking of Danny. Doesn't look good from the club statement. "decision is not results based but is centred around culture." is nothing more than a slap in the face for a manager to whom the culture within the club could not have been of any more importance.

Depends on what you define as culture in an organisation. You can have a negative culture where the atmosphere is toxic, and the workforce is unhappy and doesn’t perform to its best ability. In which case you find what is causing the toxic atmosphere, and deal with it. Or you can have a positive culture, where the work force ie players feel valued and respected and perform to their best. I am sure Mr Stott and his companies will have an organisational culture structure which all employees will have to sign up to, from highest level downwards.

You are correct we do not know the facts yet....BUT...as we do not know them yet,to assume that Mr Stott has made the correct decision because he controls the purse strings is also wrong and just slightly disingenuous Lets talk about what we do know. Jim Gannon has done a magnificent job over the years both as a player and a manager and understands the culture (funny how that word keeps cropping up)of this great club more than you, me or Mr Stott What we also know is that there are one or two on here who seemingly have never approved of Jim Gannon and will probably be rubbing their hands in glee. It is also so very wrong to start calling out fans who are understandably upset by saying they should be putting the club first. It's sore, it hurts for those fans right now. Not time to be sticking the knife in.
Strong rumours on the other board that new manager will be Simon Rusk, yeah Google him, Brighton's U23 Manager. I'm not in the know, just passing it on, but if this comes to pass then Jim's departure must have been planned for some time and not due to something that's happened this week.
