The exciting part is that there are 3 more almost ready to go…. A tale of flames from Oz with a mention for an ex Hatter who is still putting the goals away…….another from a Heaton Mersey lad who shunned big money CF Malaga to adopt a team in the 4th tier of Spanish football in his new life, and a third from a lad who emigrated in 2000 to St Louis, USA containing Wembley memories and much more.
There`s a fourth in the pipeline too, from Thailand and that should be a belter as well, so watch out for these upcomers, and contact hedgegrower@gmail.com if you are a County exile with a story that needs to be told ! hedgegrower The real Ian Brown.
I can’t wait to unleash the encapsulating tales of my escapades as an ostracised County fan!
“...at last the 197 bus rumbled past The ‘Wecome to Stockport’ sign!...it had been a whole 10 minutes since I’d left home to embark on the arduous journey South. I’m sure some would refer to me as a ‘Superfan’...I prefer to remain anonymous, but maybe I’ll afford a smile when perhaps a fellow County fanatic mentioned that his 314 bus from Offerton took ages due to traffic....If only he knew! I’ve been an exile in Burnage for a couple of years now yet still the possible extra travelling cost Irks, I know I have a weekly bus pass for work but It’s the principle that counts and I consider every penny that I maybe would have to pay as worth it to watch the team that I’ve supported since a small boy.”
An extract from my autobiography ‘Rebel Without Applause’ available from ‘Cartier Publishing’ at only £79.34 (an ideal stocking filler this festive period!)One of the many referred to as being ‘Dim Witted’ for still using this board. (...probably right when I think about it)
Always wanted ‘Rebels Without Applause’ as a name for a punk band....but couldn’t be arsed forming one...One of the many referred to as being ‘Dim Witted’ for still using this board. (...probably right when I think about it)
