Youth ?

Following on from the previous post. Whats the situation with County colts nowadays ? Remember them joining up with an existing junior "set up" a couple of years ago, but have heard very little about them ?

grandson went to county colts u11 on monday,they are running 3 u11 teams,he said there was about 50 kids altogether,including a very famous championship player with his son

My daughter was attending their Thursday nights before Covid came along. She had done 3 nights. It is well run. Think they are about to start again. How long the link up will last is anyone’s guess now we have the new regime in.

So is it basically the original club playing under County's name and not some form of SOE holding trials etc ?

From what I know it isn't an official SOE, but just a club set up for the various age groups under County's name.

The former from what I could tell. Maybe a mix of both. Don’t know what is on the paperwork behind the scenes in terms of deal.

I hope players within youth team are now under some sort of contract whereby they cant just leave for nowt or of their own volition as recently they've been playing under name of County without being tied to the club

Hope its a proper centre of excellence again and not an informal agreement
