I kind of sensed from the Gannon interview on Cheadle FM that those on the short term interim contracts list may move on anyway. Let's see who we bring in as a replacement.

Isn’t this where Ball went initially? Strange that we seem to have a link with them. Also strange they are already signing as there is no gauarantee as to whether they’ll be in L2 or NL next season.

The FL also said that Stevenage wouldn’t be relegated unless NL could guarantee to start next season at the same time as FL....that hasn’t happened yet as far as I know,

i,d actually set a date right now for starting the season with fans. it would give clubs something to plan for re signings and ST sales.

He was on a rolling deal so I imagine there was no fee and I can't see him demanding much wage-wise compared to players they already have from League Two.

Me too. If this has happened last close season I would have been depressed, but I am confident we are looking for even better. We should see some incoming soon.

I’d agree with all of that.
He was a very decent player and although we may well be in a position to look for better there is no guarantee that every new recruit will be successful. And this was a player who could have held his own in the side next year.
But we move on and hopefully will be pleasantly surprised with our signings when they are made, which I guess could be a while yet as no new season date has been confirmed.

agree. shows what can change in 12 months. remember not that long ago some wanted to sign up a couple of chorley stars as they were in our wage bracket.

On the news now, just announced we are days from locking down another 33 areas.
This virus is not going down.

Normal levels includes non covid deaths.
We are still averaging over a 100 covid deaths a day and coming out of lockdown.
We had 73 deaths a day when we went into lockdown.
We have a test and trace system that isn’t up to scratch by any means.
We are following America where many states came out of lockdown early.
They are in deep shite now.

It didn’t mention areas. It was breaking news and not much info.
With regard to signing players. I can’t see at our level many clubs being able to do it with no income.

thats been the problem in this mad rush back to normality. still a long time to go before the season may start, however with stuff going on like at bournemouth the other week and with obviously more warm sunny weather that will come these people are just putting the season back a bit longer.
