I kind of see it as a "don't sweat the small stuff" situation. |
Yes he won't get everything right, yes he'll make mistakes. We all do. But he'll get 95% right. I could post about who we should play, or sign, or the formation or tactics we should use. But I don't because I don't know the ins and outs of our finances or the finer details of the abilities, motivations, mindset, etc... The manager does, so I leave it to him.
And the bigger picture is whilst he will make mistakes, or have had patches the facts show that he always improves us in the end. Year on year we get better.
So when mistakes are made they might piss me off for an hour or so, but usually I just shrug and go "oh well, we keep going, we keep improving".
I can understand why some may see such a zen-like attitude as soon to having a religious devotion to the man but it really isn't for me, it's just framing things in the context of having due respect for his previous and on-going achievements with us.
Of course others are free to discuss our failings and his mistakes, and what they think should happen if they so wish, and it certainly doesn't for me make them anti-Gannon to me, even if I do disagree with them doing it.
That said there are a very very small number on here, Facebook, and elsewhere who are clearly anti-JG, quiet as a mouse when we're winning, but never shut up if we lose a few. And they've been there for years, even when we were winning the league.
We will not run,
And we will not hide,
No we will not give up,
We will survive!
