When we have a throw in, Jim wants players to get in to positions where they're not immediately under pressure when they receive the ball. Turnbull is usually decent at this
The player on the pitch who isn't tightly marked. With the right movement, one can normally be found
Playing through the lines.
Playing forwards, through the horizontal lines of formation
Opening the game up.
Moving the ball quickly to create space
Playing in pockets.
Playing in the pockets of space between the lines. Warby was particularly good at this last season.
Circulating the ball.
Passing the ball about.
Attacking players making runs. Player A makes the first run to take a defender away, Player B makes a 2nd run in to the space created
The initial challenge, for example challenging for the ball from a high goal kick.
