Am sure Chally would have been happy to keep Paddy and Sarce, but there was no way they were getting two/year contracts. They were quite right at this stage in their careers to go for two/year contracts in a division and at clubs where they will get regular footie. I also get why we didn’t want to be offering two-year deals to them.
