Superb stuff John. While you were in the queue for Johnny Simpsons autograph, I was in that queue with you. He signed best wishes for me and you are right about his handwriting  I still have all my scrapbooks to this day. The last game v Darlington I stood in the Cheadle End with my trusty Brownie 127 camera and snapped Tony France taking his penalty. Their goalkeeper was Joe Oniel, who had come from Stoke City. Joe pushed the penalty on to the bar only for Tony to follow and score. Look forward to your next instalment  |
