In amongst all the fuss around Wrexham it occurred to me that the main thing powering it were our similarities. Very glad to say we don't have much in common with Crewe. There's much to despise about them. Their club became a vehicle for widespread sexual abuse, leading to multiple ruined lives, and all the while people turned a blind eye, something they continue to do. Amazes me they're not seen as a total pariah within the football community. They're everything football clubs should not be. Look at the clubs around the North West who have dropped into non-league in the last 15-20 years. Or worse in the case of Chester, Bury and Macc. Crewe are the notable absence from these bad times. Arguably because of a strong legacy footballing wise left by people who remain morally tarnished by their ability to turn a blind eye. Fold them.
