Living in Shrewsbury at the time, I agreed to meet some Shrewsbury supporting mates in town for a beer ahead of their FA Cup 1st Round game at the Gay Meadow against Marine. We had a very convivial time in the pub and the weather turned rubbish so we decided not to go to the game and stay in the pub. We later discovered the final score was Shrewsbury 11 Marine 2.....
